2013 Audi S3

Dyno readings are very much dependent on the type of dyno used and the operator who uses them , so i would not be overly concerned .

geefunk1978 What type of dyno was used ?What weather conditions was dyno done at ?What gear was used to get your readings ?Type of Fuel ?KM on EngineDynoed ?Operator and dyno settings ?All can result in totally different readings

These are all questions for Shark Performance as I'm not a dyno operator!
It's a Bapro dyno and they've been using it a long time on lots of different cars.

280-325bhp is. 16.4% gain in hp whatever the figures are :)

bet it goes well :)

our skoda vrs tdi produced 179bhp in standard form (184ps) and 226bhp on sharks dyno, and an additional 110nm of torque..

either way I always look at the % increase rather then the figures themselves

It is all relative, the car was down on power as standard which may be down to a vast array of things. Fact is it gained 16.5% or there abouts so a car pulling the claimed 300bhp would in theory pull 350bhp. A good figure in my opinion.

Do we have to use super unleaded in the new S3? Or is it just recommended. Does it make a difference?

98 octane will get you further and burn cleaner with better combustion giving you more power than 95 in my mind its well worth the few extra $$$$

Well as I understand it Week 1 starts 30th December 2013 - I'm currently unconfirmed at Week 5 - 27th January so week 8 would be 17th February so late March to early April but alot depends on when built etc - Could be built 1st day, straight onto the train at Ingolstadt (they have their own train at the factory) to the docks and boat could be leaving next day and so on so probably could get that down to 3 weeks in reality

Hi d8ean, out of interest when did you place your order? Mine was ordered a couple of weeks ago and still havent had a build date which i'm chasing. Im assuming April delivery too.

That happened to me mate, was quoted first week oF December for delivery, called them 1st week of October just to ask for a build week and they were like "it was built 3 days ago" I was like "oh....sh!T!"

Picked it up on the 28th October!

Lucky fellas!! How's the glacier going Johnny!? Always looks superb in your pics, all this talk of black did tempt me to the dark side but i've stuck with glacier!

Well I've just had a couple of hours with an S3 loaner with S Tronic... far nicer in the S3 than in A5's and 7's I've tried recently.. really seems to suit the car.. but I am happy with my manual (it is too late to change anything now anyway!)

Loving it!!Actually, last Sunday I was in a queue of traffic at some lights, an Estoril / deep blue RS5 pulled up next to me (didn't see him at first) I just heard his horn beep, looked round and he pointed at the car and gave me the "ok" sign with his hand nodding...I mouthed "really? have you seen your f*****g car??" and he just laughed...It was stunning, and felt great to get a compliment from an RS driver!Black is nice and will always look good clean, but it's on the stealth side and makes the car look smaller and less aggressive imo, I guess I like to stand out a bit given the already subtle shape of the S3..Stop worrying, you've made a good choice!

I was going to order Monsoon to start with, but I'm glad my missus talked me out of it and into Glacier! Think the darker colours don't make it stand out enough and nothing says 'flash git' like a bright white car lolI had the nod from a guy in a V10 R8 the other day!

Apologies for the way my above post is structured, there seems to be a problem with the forum and it's mashed it all together without any spaces or paragraphs...?

Agreed! The great thing about Glacier is that it is alot more subtle than the old Ibis, yet remains the best colour in the range for contrast AND showing off the cars lines!Keeping it clean in this greasy weather though - pointless

Yep mine's been cleaned once in the last 2 weeks, no point whatsoever! I am well impressed with the way it shows all the lines in the body, they do stand out.

Ben at Shark has been trying to talk me into getting some new wheels, I must admit some 19" BBS CH-R's in black would look porno!Don't think the wife would be too happy about that when I've just blown £30k+ on a new car lol

My cousin who bought my last 8P Ibis white S3 has just put them on his car (18" though) or at least some very similar, and they do look amazing!!Changing the wheels on this new car was not like me at all, i'm usually Mr Standard when ot comes to S cars, but i felt the standard 18" S3 alloys very underwhelming when they are not showroom clean. If you are ever up in the Yorkshire area let me know and i will show you how well 19's lend themselves to the S3. I'd say buy your wife some new shoes - then you can get your cars' new shoes!!

I have the same Build week and my Dealer said around about March 10th pickup
added the rails and through load options today
they said it's almost locked down already in terms of changing it.... That quick?
if it comes earlier then great but would prefer to hold off til march I think
how long could the dealer hold the car back for?

I wish I'd kept the standard wheels instead of paying £395 for the 10 spoke titanium wheels then it would be easier to justify changing them! I thought they were the best looking of the lot though.
Hmm they'd have to be expensive shoes and again tricky to justify when we've got a 4 month old baby too!!

Well in that case you have done a sterling job getting the S3 ok'd by the wife! Good work and congrats!

saturday just gonenice spec btw
Nice one, well done. Thanks, crammed as much into my spec as budget would allow. If you're week 8 then I'm hoping it'll be around that, still waiting for my build week. The wait till April is going to be murder but worth it.

yea I kinda hoped I'd fine one I could go get straight away to enjoy during the winter
no such luck - long wait but worth it

First time i have seen your spec Giles! I bet the parade red leather will team up very nicely with the red S3 logo's in and outside of the car!!

I certainly hope so mate! Wasn't sure what to expect with the parade red but really liked it in the Bolton demo that I drove, didn't find the red over bearing so went for it, just looks sporty to me. Hadn't thought about the logo's but yes, you're right. Just the ****** wait now!! Lots of new pics on the forum over Xmas would be good so when I've had a few too many ales I can remember what's waiting to be delivered in 2014!!
