What are you all listening to at the mo??

Desi Jatt is a tune I am LOVING at the mo!!!

LOL Shy, some good ol tunes you named there, not bad for a non indian....there hasnt been much released recently, so I am still listening to some good old skool tunes, im even going back to the 80's and 90's with some of the tapes and cd's i got!!

Anyways, how comes you have changed your name???

closest I think I ever got to Bhangra was Talvin Singh.

Have a look into DJ Swami, some of the Panjabi MC Stuff, Dr.Zeus and maybe Aman Hayer.

They have a good range of tunes that normally cater for all tastes :-)

Check out some of the stuff on there, also dont know if it interests you, but have a listen to DJ Nerm on the BBC Asian Network, he comes on Saturday nights, i think between 12-2am, but just go on their site and listen to some of his tunes, really feeling them at the mo!!!

ok, Im a bit confused... theres nowt hard about this Bombay... the tracks sound like they belong in a James bond movie.

Some of the mainstream Bhangra is crap, total waste of time!!!

The Bimmers off the road at the moment, and the missus is down in Luton, so it'll be in a few days that I'm out and about.

I'm not really liking bhangra anymore, it's just become so commercial etc, and the real talent is being hidden behind the bigger, well known artists.

Yea as you say there hasnt been much decent bhangra out in a LONG time, im really feeling Rambo at the mo tho, but as with all JB tunes, you cant go wrong!!!

That's just my opinion of him, he goes to my local gym, and his music is all the same.

Oh well, saying that though, alot of music sounds the same nowadays, but they all jump on the bandwagon dont they, if it sounds good, they will carry on with it until something new comes out, that everyone wants to do....

rasa4, it depends what you want, if you like duets, there is an oldish one out, 'Serious Records Presents Serious Duets' but to be honest, in my opinion there isnt very much good stuff out there right now. and on top of all of that, kaka has passed away which is bad news as he was actually a decent singer!

Heard about Kaka, 1st thing yesterday morning, such a tragedy!!

He was such a good singer.....apparently liver failure.

I love a track on my Cafe del mar CD called - "Mundian To Bach Ke" by Punjabi MC

I got it way back in 98 and still blair it out now and again. Right summer tune

Mundian to Bach Ke is a pure classic, its one of the main tracks that put Bhangra music into the mainstream.

The bangra track that seems to be doing it for me for the past few months has got to be Rishi Rich ft H Dhami - Sadke Java :P

Punjabi MC - old Skool track but even when comes on in the clubs, everyone goes madd ! Jay-Z did a good remix with it!

Hmmm, H Dhami is pretty good, but still prefer his Dads tunes

He's pretty decent.

But going through my music list today and the old skool mets n trics is on my everyday list now :P Them guys were onto something good and just completly ruined themselves with their new music - seen them live too and they were acting like right twazzoks lol

not a big fan of h dhami, he doesnt have much talent in my opinion, one dhami that does though is jaz dhami! anybody catch him on britasia live sessions? that guy is flippin talented!

Jheeta, I did actually see Jaz Dhami on that live session and I have to say i was very impressed!!!

I might have that track lying about somewhere, if i find it i will send it your way ok mate.

Kaz, Mars and Twix???? LOL...they are no more, they made one half decent track and that was that.

Wizbit, i really rate PHS, they are pretty good and have a wide selection of tunes that they mix up and they do it really well too.
