Was up in sunny Scotland for the weekend to watch the British Motor Sprinting and to help out a mate who was competing in his car.

Saturday was a great day, although the weather was abit on and off but Sunday was glorious, even got sun burnt!

My mate drives a Formula Ford Van Dieman with a 2.0 Zetec engine with 242bhp.

It weighs around about 400kg with 0-60 in 2.8 seconds.

Overall he came 9th and 10th on Saturday and Sunday and stands 4th overall in the competition.

It was a great experience especially watching some of the V8 F1 cars including a father-son team that beat 4 records on the day.

I camped there with some other mates, in my perfectly built tent :D

Also caught a nice 911 GT3 RS specating:

Its something I'd love to do if I could afford it; great weekend!

My mate has a simular car. An OMS with a Honda Blackbird engine. Watched him a few times and it's great fun to be involved but like you say great if you could afford it as it is an expensive thing to do!
