Thread: Jenson or Lewis? You Decide.

Hey guys n gals, as the 2009 F1 season is well under way and i've recently had time to start browsing the forums again i thought i'd start a little debate! Its clear that we now have 2 Dominant British drivers in F1 but which one is your favourite or prefered driver?

As i am from Frome in Somerset home to Jenson he has been and always will be my #1 Driver and have stuck by him through the bad times and now sitting back to let the good times roll!

Feel free to leave your oppinions as it would be intresting to see how you all feel about the drivers!

Ooh, this is a toughie, I'm a Hamilton fan as most know, but with Jensen having a decent car under him and performing, I'll be backing him for the win this season. I still think Hamilton is the quicker driver between the two if both had the same machine though, but the chances of them driving for the same teach is probably zilch.

Always been a Hamilton supporter myself. I like most of the drivers in F1 though, lets be honest they are all at the top of their game or they wouldn't be there so respect to all!

Another more important note - Hamilton got the same time round the Top Gear track as Button even though it was hot for Buttons lap and wet and oily for Hamiltons lap. This is obviously more important and more accurate a measure than Formula 1...

LOL SPOT ON!!! TG test track is where it's at. Although I've always fancied MS to have a go round in the reasonably priced car.

As for Button vs Lewis, I prefer Lewis. Mainly because I've been following his carrer for 10 years. Like Matt, I like pretty much all drivers on the grid and if they have deserved a win or had a good race then I will applaud them. The only drivers I didn't like are JV and Irvine. I must say that I didn't like what Button did a few years back when he tried getting out of his contract because his team was rubbish. That hurt him pretty bad. I know for a fact that the other team principals wouldn't touch him because they wouldn't trust him. He's recovered from that now and he's doing well for himself to fair play to him.

Not really, it just proves he has the BEST car for the job! Hamilton won it last year, so it makes them Even if anything.

hehe your definatly rite ther Jojo, i think when Mclaren have a good car it will be the decider, Jens is a lot smoother than lewis in my honest oppinion but lewis more direct approach does come out on top quite a lot of the time

Jenson has got more of a level head on his shoulders and doesnt care about money. hence his pay cut and staying with a team that was crap.

Lewis is a fast / reckless drivers as we saw last year into the back on kimi`s car and only cares about money. Hence his dad blanging on about pay rises. not to mention lewis just wants a fast car and doesnt care about long term commitment, Hence rumours of him leaving next year. blah blah blah

Theres only one way to find out...... FIGHT!!!!

na you make a reckless point based upon sloppy facts..... he hasnt left has he? even after his team made him look an arse.... Button obviously had the best car at the start of the season.... Hamilton was CLEARLY pushing his car beyond its limits on testing/qualifying/racing....

I think Lewis's pay rise isnt a reason to pull him down...hes world champion, surely you would expect his dad to want the best deal?.... buttons situation is entirely different, had he not taken a pay cut he simply would not be in F1 this season - so your argument here is flawed

as for last season recklessness, Lewis was the youngest F1 champ, he had almost the least experiance in 08 so i think we could cut him some slack.... i seem to remember shuey being just as 'off the cuff' in his driving nature...it makes for good viewing, good racing and above all a good racing driver, after all they arent there to pussyfoot around other cars.

i take your comments as i would expect a Hamilton hater to post, unfounded negativity when talking about Hamilton and blinded positivity when talking about his rivals - grow up and watch the sport with an open mind

I still remember watching Jenson's first F1 race . I loved his driving since then, and I was sure that one day he's gonna climb to the top.
