Thread: Audi R10

Hi,

i need some help finding the following infomation:

1 - what are the R10 engine dimensions

2 - what are the R10 transmission ratios

3 - what is the R10 transmission dimensions


thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

They're sort-of tricky questions really...

1) In terms of 'physical' dimensions of the engine, I'm not sure, but I can tell you that it's a 5.5L V12 (90 degrees) with twin turbochargers.

2) The question about gear ratios is almost impossible to answer - the Audi Sport team engineers will analyse each circuit before a race meeting and select different gear ratios accordingly to deliver the best performance for a given situation.

3) Again, as with the engine, I'm not sure of the physical dimensions.

I do have a contact at Audi Motorsport, but I don't think they'd really wish to give out particularly detailed information given that the finer points of the car's specification are a pretty closely-guarded secret...
