Hello all. Sorry for the horribly long delay.

As for the car....progress has been great.

I managed to get through an entire racing season with no parts damage and learned a lot about nitrous and suspension tuning along the way.

The engine combo did not make the hp I was expecting due to the volumetric limits of the engine. It just would not ingest any more than a 250 hp shot of nitrous. Just as well...as anything over a 150 hp shot and the suspension was overwhelmed and no gains were netted due to loss of traction.
The engine made 498 rwhp on the engine alone...699 hp with a 150hp shot of nitrous, and 781 rwhp with a 250 hp shot of nitrous (150 hp on the first stage and another 100 hp on the second stage).
I believe the torque converter was letting go (slipping) around the 700rwhp mark and the engine just didn't have the volumetric efficiency I had planed on it having.
Still....I was happy with the results considering I was still utilizing the factory stock ECU, factory electronics, and stock geometry suspension (aka stock mounting points).

    The car went a best of 9.91 @ 134 mph, with a 1.33 60'.

Here are some vids of the beast...

Some fun at a local track that's known for its lack of traction (not the case with a proper suspension setup)

As I stated above...the engine combo fell short of my hp goal. This was due to the volumetric limits of the heads I had. They flowed 315cfm (cubic feet per minuet) at 600" valve lift. I have since bought a bigger set of heads that flow 360cfm at 700" valve lift and am also switching from fuel injection to a single Holley Dominator carburetor and a direct port nitrous system and nitrous plate (second stage).

Here are the pics of my new heads and intake when I test fitted them on my short block in the car, with the new headers that have 2 1/8" primary tubing and 4" collectors. As can be seen in the pics....its pretty much a straight shot from the carburetor base to the backs of the intake valves.

I took this year off from racing so I could fund next years engine build. Hope to come out with a strong showing in the Spring of 2010.

Test fitment of new heads, headers, and intake manifold.

Picture of the exhaust ports of the new heads (yes...a golf ball will fit nicely inside the exhaust port) lol

Random pics of the car at the track

Some more random internet vids of my car...
