A4s back in the BTCC. Two teams to support now. AMD milltek and RAR.

Nice, Rear wheel drive or front do you think?

I dont think the AMD car did particularly well last year did it?

I'm not too sure - i think four wheel drive may be a little too heavy with the next gen' engines?

AMD didn't too bad to be fair - they had limited resources and a totally new car/chassis to the BTCC - teams like RML have so much experience that they can turn their hands to most decent chassis's and produce a top half (the grid car) but AMD are currently on a huge learning curve and I wish them well

I'd have thought that 4wd would be too heavy to be competitive unless it rains every race lol.

S2000 and NGTC specs state fwd or rwd. So 4wd is out. The cars are going to be built to full NGTC specs;

It's only a photo impression. Hopefully they'll use the B8 chassis rather than the B7.

They banned 4wd back in the mid 90's when the B5 quattro whoop-assed everything.

Makes me laugh that does. I know in the grand scheme of motorsport BTCC is quite low budget, especially at the side of F1 and the like, but it makes me giggle to think that my entire car cost me less than a set of tyres for a touring car!

Looking forward to the new season though, especially now Audi are back onboard. Be interesting to see what Jason Plato finds to ***** about this year.

Might check out this years BTCC. I miss the mid 90's championships.
