Thank you very much for your warm welcome , I've had two Audis in the past(audi 90 auto and A6 1994)both petrol, my latest one is an A3 2.0Tdi sport s-tronic 5dr 2008(08) with 70,000 miles full main dealer history,gearbox serviced at 52k. In the past I new about audi's problems with cvt(multitronic) box but unaware of issues with s-tronic,I bought my car about a month ago from an auction in Glasgow and discovered the 1st gear is jerky(not when engine is cold) Audi Glasgow said mechatronics fault(code:J743) and a reputable gearbox specialist advised me that,they would start by updating mechatronics initially and may be then change oil and filter. I would appreciate some advice from you guys as I love the car and would like to sort this annoying problem . With regards
