I use a Rotary polisher LINK HERE I used the kit to learn on my last car. It's easy enough just takes a little time and patience. Now I do / use the following:
Power rinse with presure washer and two bucket clean etc
Then to polish it up I used
Dodo heavy cutting pad (waffle design) and S3 Scholl once over
Refined with S17
Then using 3m Black finishing pad and S40 Scholls on each pannel to get the depth
Protection - I've used Sealants/Wax's for a long time and recently went for PoorBoys spritz acrylic sealant and Smart Wax or Dodo Juice
Now use Hardbody sealant
