It can be done by removing the fuse for the haldex, but why would you want to do it as it won't give you the true power readings as its messing with the system, if your going to dyno a 4WD car do it...

You should be alright with a standard DMF as long as you done abuse the car, no dragging/high rpm launching, had mine in about a year, so covered about 6-7k since the install and it's still pulling...
