Thread: Some of my Audi Driver International photos - some of YOUR cars...

Well folks, here are some of my photos from a very enjoyable day at Audi Driver International on Saturday. I know I've got a few of your cars, hopefully there are one or two that you'll enjoy. I was having a barrel of laughs trackside trying to get a decent shutter-speed in the awkward light towards the end of the day, and had to resort to bumping sensor sensitivity up somewhat so quality isn't quite as hot as I'd like for a few of the shots, but hopefully they're not too bad

The one(s) I'm happiest with came from a 50mm f/1.8 glass - it's a great little lens - sold way cheaper than the results it gives could probably command, fantastic depth-of-field and really rich colours; it's just not suitable for the trackside stuff unfortunately. I'm looking at a new body and a new zoom glass in the near future though - I've been dragging my heels following all that was announced/released at Photokina - I'm trying to work out whether I'm going to switch camps or not!

I would of dude....but i'm all out off wee after seeing the pics my missus took trackside!

The shot was taken 16:27 (and 46 seconds if we're going to split hairs ) - I think the chap driving was Chris Ward?

Cheers Rob for the pictures. The quality and colour depth looks spot on.

It was a great event, and it was great meeting new people as well as the those from previous events. I'm looking forward to next year.

No worries sir! And I guess congratulations are in order? You won your category in the concours d'elegance right?

If you have an email address that will take an attachment of a 2-4MB I'll send a higher-res JPEG of that pic over (unless you fancy an uncompressed TIFF - that'll be about 15MB if I ZIP it)...
