Does anyone have an Audi-sport banner by any chance?, I think it's usually Dicky or 911CS who brings it along, but I don't think they are coming this year.

Dicky had it last year. But even then we had nothing to hang it on, we just lay it on the floor in front of the cars.

    Anyone else going on-track?

    Jason (voorhees),

Have you bothered arranging track-day insurance? I did last year and it was only £180 but this time it's £330.....it seems the circuit has been re-graded "dangerous" and so premiums have gone up.

My motor is worth more than £330 but it sometimes makes me wonder if £330 is worth it for 4 hours of track driving??? what a dilemma.

Anyone else bother with track-day insurance???

If I get my car back from major surgary at APS in Brackley, I will be turning up and going on track............!!

John, I thought long and hard about track day insurance and decided not to bother. I liked to think it would make me a bit more 'careful' on track,,,, not sure if that bit worked........... However I guess the main consideration should be, 'how would it leave me if I wrote the car off??' If the answer is 'in the ****' then take the insurance ,or don't go on the track is the answer.

    PS
I'm sure the excess on track day insurance is about 3,000

    PPS
If I do get the car back I'll look forward to seeing you Gents......
    In my personal opinion

Sorry to hear about your car, I hope you make it to the event as it would be nice to meet up again.

The track day insurance come with a 2k excess plus lots of other if's but's and maybe's that I guess give them any and every excuse to say "tough luck buddy we aint paying your".

So I might take your view and think of light pedal presses and less dramatic cornering....well for 1 or 2 laps anywayz. I'm hoping the afternnon will be less foggy this time too.

Nope,I don't plan on being hit
some people I know do trackdays and say if they damaged their cars they'd pretend it was done elsewhere, which I think is terrible considering all the hard work the insurance companies do for their well....... our money

    3. Audimad - 8P A3 2.0TDI Sport 170bhp Oettinger re-map. - Jeff

The plan is the same as last year, lets all meet at the Cross hands pub at 8AM, so I can give the passes out.

    The address is:

    Cross Hands Hotel
    Old Sodbury
    Nr. Bristol
    South Gloucestershire
    BS37 6RJ

These are passes to allow access to the allocated stand, you will need to purchase tickets yourself online or at the door at CC.
For those who can't make 8AM, you will need to goto CC and park up, get your passes from myself, then drive to the clubstand.

    Thanks.

    Joe

Looks like I will only have the 10 passes, I called Autometrix yesterday for a couple more passes just incase, but they are unsure of getting them out to me on time, due to ongoing postal strikes. The same goes for trackday passes, anyone whose paid upfront for them should get hold of them at the event on the day. I might just photocopy a couple of the stand passes to pull a fast one, but as it stands, I have 10 official passes, and they are all taken up. See you all on Saturday morning chaps.

I can't remember if I have the banner or if Rich has it .

I'll check tonight to see if its in my garage.

I'll be coming along as a passenger and will bring it with me if I have it.

Did the travel lodge last year, great idea but in reality you then have Friday night traffic to battle with as well as the hotel bill.

So no hotel bill and no traffic seems a great deal better, just a bit of an early start is all!!!

    Oh, what a shame.

I've already worked on a new camera mount to catch more action, last year the video didn't see much of the track due to my rear view mirror so 2nd time round I'll hope to get more track in the frame!!

Guy's I have to drop out for the first time in 3 year as I have a wheel baring issue that will not be fixed in time for the show so I'm not best happy but it will push me to fit the RS4 brakes, shocks and Hubs I have sitting down waiting to go on.

We don't mind how many of you come in fact, the more the merrier, but do make sure you give us advance notice as we need to plot out the club spaces on Friday pm and we need a good idea of how many are coming after all no-one can fit 15 cars in space for 10. If we know (for sure) you're coming with 15 or even 20... then we'll plot the space

Please let us know by 5 pm Thursday though. Otherwise, if there's excess on the day, you won't all be able to park together

I'm coming from Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Leaving about 5 -5.30am.

Will there be any Audi-Sport.net stickers floating around at the event?

    Cheers

Just wondered if we will have neough space around the 10 cars in our "pitch" for a shelter?

I have a 3x3m pop up shelter, http://www.surfturf.co.uk/, that I used when I did my car valeting. After us all standing around last year I thought if we had the space I'd bring it along and we could all bring folding chairs and have somewhere to sit and chat????

Let me know asap if this is ok so I can dig it out of my garage, just moved house so the place is a mess, and I'll bring a small table too.
