Today we headed down to Castle Combe to the Forge Action Day, an annual event that Forge have been holding for the last couple of years.
After cutting through the dense fog on the M4 by Swindon the sky soon broke and glorious sunshine bathed the track for the rest of the day.
The Action Day is a multi-brand event and there are a broad spectrum of cars on show from a range of disciplines (track / drift / scene ). It's the first time I've been to an 'open' show, so there were less familiar faces than the usual VAG scene shows, but it was interesting to have a poke around some different metal. A real range in quality, and it makes you appreciate how high the standard is in the VAG stable, but then many of the cars on show today were time attack or proper track workhorses. There are also manufacturer stands, obviously Forge, but then Eibach, Scorpion, Revo, Lichfield, Pipercross, Powerflex.....
I took a few photos whilst I was wandering about, so I thought I'd share them.
1) Audi's at the show
RS3 with Forges new CAI
RS3 on Forge stand
Black / Orange S3 on Secret SEAT club stand
Decked A4 S-Line Avant on club stand
RS4 Bi-turbo engine bay on club stand
RS4
8L meets 8P
Does someone on here own this? (Thought it was Fran's when I first saw it, but possibly not)
Stanced A3 8P
RS4 on Forge stand
TT Shops TT-RS
Revo Stasis Stand (S5/S3)
2) Other VAG marques
Golf meets Bora
3) Non VAG cars
One of my very fave's, the 1M
A tidy Cayman S
Renault Clio V6 Cup Car
SCC's Focus RS Mk2
Bonkers rear engined Mini
New Toyota GT86 in a manky burnt umber
AMG C63 and Godzilla
Apologies, chopped iPhone pic. Bentleys and stanced RX8
4) For your pleasure
Ummm, I'm not sure...Saxo???
Check out the number plate after you've seen the exhausts; special stuff!
