Well after this mornings run I have had the car in pieces to find the leak, and boy did I find one!

As the pipe comes off the DV it loops down past the air con compressor before going round to the intercooler.

It looks like it has been rubbing on the drive wheel of the air con unit and that has rubbed through the pipe with a hole big enough to get my finger in!

Currently I am just waiting for a patch to set (tempory measure while I get a new part on order)

so while I was dissapointed this morning at least I now know whats been up with the damm thing and I'm looking forward to driving it post fix to see what the difference is - should be just like having a chip without the cost /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

what was actually happening was that a small amount of boost was being generated (more air from the turbo than could leak out of the hole) and then dropping as it all leaked away - which also explains why it still felt quick away from the lights, but slow while on the move.

I couldn't be more disgusted with the first RR it went to, the guys at well lane correctly diagnoses the problem before the first run had even finished!!

Still I am enjoying it now /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
