Audi Driver factory tour

It has been several years since we last organised a tour of the Audi plants in Germany and, after the success of this year’s tour of the Volkswagen plants, we are making plans for a week-long visit to the Audi factories next June.

The provisional itinerary is as follows:

Sun June 5: Depart from the Midlands by luxury coach, picking up at pre-arranged points en route to Folkestone, embarking on Le Shuttle to cross the Channel for our first night’s hotel in Arnhem.

Mon June 6: First stop, the new Karmann plant to see assembly of A4 Cabriolets. After our tour and lunch we then head south towards Kassel for overnight stop.

Tues June 7: We call in at the Worldwide Parts Distribution Centre in Kassel; after lunch we continue southwards to Ingolstadt for our overnight stop.

Wed June 8: We visit the Ingolstadt plant to see A4 production and after lunch we hope to visit both MTM and Audi Sport. We remain in Ingolstadt overnight.

Thurs June 9: We head west to Neckarsulm for lunch and to see aluminium A2 and A8 production. Our overnight stop will be in Heidelberg.

Fri June 10: We commence our homeward journey via Rudesheim, stopping for a wine-tasting lunch, with overnight stay in Koblenz.

Sat June 11: We head back to the UK, arriving in the Midlands at about 10 pm.

Meal arrangements will be full-board, starting in Arnhem and finishing in Koblenz.

Exact details will available shortly, but prices are expected to be £695 per person (single room) or £598 per person (double room)
