    Full Correction on Sepang TTRS

Andrew (Abyss) collected his Sepang TTRS about a couple of months ago which we managed to get booked in for the second week in February. Now generally speaking he keeps the car looking immaculate, however this was how it arrived!

Number plates removed to make cleaning easier

First stage was to pre wash the car using Valet Pro pH Neutral snow foam and while dwelling I went around the car with a small detailing brush over badges, etc

Once rinsed off the vehicle was washed using the 2 bucket method, Valet Pro Poseidon Shampoo and a Supernatural Sponge

Rinsed off and already looks better

    Decontamination then began using

Alloys sprayed with Car Pro Iron X, agitated and rinsed

The paintwork sprayed and wiped over with a microfiber wash mitt to work in the Iron X

Iron X washed and rinsed off and then to remove tar spots using Car Pro Tar X – some larger bits been picked up on the car

Again the car was washed and rinsed off and the final decontamination to clay using yellow extra fine poly clay and juicy lube. Couple of shots of the clay showing that contamination was still present on the car

Final wash and dry using Chemical Guys Wooly Mammoth drying towel and all door shuts, drip areas using a Chemical Guys Professional Dryer.

The car was then evaluated for imperfections and taped up

    Driver’s side:

    Passenger side:

    Passenger wing:

    Passenger back half:

    Passenger front wing:

    Passenger back bumper:

After a few test sections I decided on using Scholl S17+ and a Scholl white/black spider polishing pad. Work in progress on the bonnet:

1 stage using above combination and wiped down using Car Pro Eraser panel wipe

Paint work is brighter, more depth and flake pop

Stage 2 - Refinement using 3M Ultrafina polish and a Scholl finishing pad

Bonnet all finished including wiped down with Eraser again

    Working on the roof

    Refining

    All finished and wiped down

Moving on to the back quarter on the drivers side – nice 50/50. I used a small 3M polishing pad in combination with Scholl S17+ to assist with the angels and ensure all areas were corrected properly.

Close up clarity and check out the swirls/scratches on the rear light (see later for correction)

    Another 50/50

    Corrected

50/50 on the drivers wheel arch

    Corrected including rear side

Progress so far on the car

Moving over to the passenger rear quarter

    Refining

    Completed passenger side

Moving on to the front bumper

    Refining

Front lights corrected after completing the bumper – sorry no pics

Moving to the rear of the car ….spoiler corrected

    50/50 on spoiler

    Back bumper corrected

    Rear lights before

    Rear lights after correction

Underneath the door handles and under the spoiler I used Gtech P1 by hand.

    Polishing completed:

The car was given a full wipe down again to ensure all oils and fillers were removed before doing the final stages of the detail:

The car was left overnight so in the morning before applying the remaing products I dusted the car off to ensure nothing was on the car using a Supernatural Duster

A coat of Chemical Guys Ez Crème was applied

For the LSP (last stage protection) I used Swissvax Crystal Rock and a CG UFO for application, this was left for 30 minutes to cure before buffing off

The tyres and trims were dressed

    Before

    Using

Completed and I used some of the Gtec P1 one by hand on the silver trim which brought it up nice and bright

Outstanding work, Jen. You had your work cut out for you by the looks of it, but as always you were more than up to the challenge, lol. Amazing reflection shots and beading. xx
