When to renew insurance

Hi,

My policy ends on the 23rd of March so wondering when it is worth me starting to look for a better deal? Car is a 2001 S3 with a couple of mods and remap, but more will be added this coming year so need to go with a mod-friendly company (current insurer wouldn't cover me for a front mount intercooler for instance). 7 years no claims, safe postcode etc.

I will try the above Sky and Prestige but are there any others I should also be calling?

Today's insurance quotes are changing daily, so some insurance companies can only save quotes for a week, and upto a month max.

I'd phone the above two companies last for a quote, don't forget to mention ASN for your discount, also consider Brentacre, Greenlight and AdrianFlux.

Everyone has different success with different companies, but I'm sure one will give you a decent quote.

Confused.com and go compare only save quotes for a day now.
I found, the earlier you search the cheaper the quote. Renewed mine last week for next week.

They are only good for standard cars, also try supermoneymarket.com, I just renewed my insurance through that site on my wifes Rav4, it was cheaper than I was expecting to pay!

Stick to specialists that you need to call up for modified cars.
