Hi all. Haven't been around for a while, but hopefully get back in the swing of things again LOL. Anyway I was wondering if anyone had an answer to this question, because none of the insurance reps did. My renewal for the S3 has just come up, problem is a month ago I was hit off my bike (only a week old agh) by a lady who failed to see me and pulled out of a junction. To cut a long story short her insurance (admiral) admitted liability the next day and offered to settle the claim without involving my insurance at all, which suited me as I wouldn't have to recoup my excess etc. when I went to insure the car with Esure who I have been with for 4 years they informed me my premium would increase by £40, this is just under 15% of my premium. WTF is that all about!!........just wondering if anyone could give me an answer as to why I have to pay extra for someone driving into the side of me. It's just another insurance scam as far as I am concerned. One answer the rep came out with was that statistically I am more liable to have another accident.....what a load of ****!!!!!!, 15 years NCB.

Hi Mac
We certainly wouldn't load for this on our scheme.

Unfortunately, some internet companies do load for non-fault accidents and even windscreen claims. I have been in the industry for 25 years and i can't understand why they do this but they do.

Best to try a specialist insurer - like us!!! :)
