Thread: Phoning Insurance Company?

Strangely, a lot of insurance companies want me to phone them to complete my quote, is there really any point? Its odd, I had a few decent quotes for when my policy needs to be renewed, Ive just redone them to see how they stand, and they want me to phone up to complete my quote! Is there any point... have any of you had any luck? Or are they just going to give me a sky high price.. why cant they just give a price online?

Its USUALLY due to a particular risk that they want more information on.

A lot of companies need to double check the information that you fill in on the internet quote.

Personally I'd rather speak to someone on the phone anyway to make sure everything is accurate.

Also, bare in mind that the best prices are not necessarily found on internet price comparison sites etc

Okay thanks. so they're not going to have me phoning up and then telling me that they cant quote are they?!

I think the risk is probably my age! But surely, if that was the case, my age is in black and white on the online quote, its hardly going to change when i phone them up...
