Thread: Doing loads of quotes puts premium up?

Sounds weird, but I probably get try about 2 or 3 different new cars each week on GoCompare, Confused and Swiftcover to see if I can get insurance on them as I'm toying with the idea of changing my car.

The thing is though, it seems like the quotes have gone up and up and up. My insurance isn't going down this year either which I guess is due to all the claims from the snow etc, but to still pay over £2000 on a 1.6 is madness. Can anyone recommend a decent insurer for young drivers, without NCB (didn't earn it, haven't had any accidents). Got one SP30 but surely it shouldn't hike it up by much? My current insurer didn't add anything on at all.

Insurance rates are going up all the time so that could explain it.
