    I recently finished building a new mediacenter pc using a nice an cheap freeview card from ebuyer.com and a fantastic piece of free software called MediaPortal.. Thought I would share the knowledge.

    MediaPortal turns your PC / TV into a very advanced MediaCenter / HTPC. Our software allows you to listen to your favorite music & radio, watch and store your videos and DVDs, view, schedule and record live TV as a digital video recorder and much much more.     This also does a good job of streaming. We have the clients installed on the laptops so we can watch TV anywhere in the house :D
