yeh, the wires break either at the laptop connector end of the PSU, or in the worst cases, part of the actual connector comes off the motherboard of the laptop.

Good service and it was a genuine dell part.
Some of these ones from ebay the adaptors are a bit poor just be carefull!

Right then folks, I emailed Dell at the end of last week and they said they would send me out a new lead free of charge even though the laptop is 3 years old.
It arrived this morning and so did another.
