Sony Trinitron - red leds

Hi, anybody on here able to offer me some assistance? My TV has just died! Switched itself off and the standby light is mainly green and then blinking red twice before turning back to green.

Have turned it off at the mains hoping it would reset but still no difference. Have played with all the buttons on the remote but had the same effect.

Anybody know anything about Sony error codes? Should I think about repairing or replacing? Missus and kids not happy!!!

I know I have the manual somewhere but cannot find it at the moment (moved house last year) but its a 28" trinitron about 4-5 years old.

Been surfing and found this ............

TWO Blinks---B+ over current protection (OCP) , unit goes to the standby
mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.

Still none the wiser . Any ideas?

Yea, looking at pricerunner now! Could well do without new TV purchase this month! Wish I could find the maual and receipt, there is a possibility that it is still under warranty. Although a 47" HD does sound mega
