Plan to make the plunge for a large flat-panel TV, and reckon it's going to be a Pioneer PDP-436XDE:
Just be interested in any comments from those who have this one.

Also any views on decent 5.1 system to complement it with - thinking more a simple set up (like my current Sony DAV-800) rather than separates & large speakers - again suggestions/recommendations?

Dont have one but I do work in Retail, it's a good Tv the old version with the panasonic won every award going.

Stupid thing to say but make sure if you do buy it turn turn the colours done for a couple of weeks and dont watch it in dymanic! this will help prevent screen burn.

got a pdp 4270xd last october, exelent toy. got pioneer 5.1 home cinema with it, it rocks, got dvd damaged though ,getting new system in couple of weeks. so got 4 speakers a woofer and center speaker all brand new and boxed . anyone interested ? couldnt get dvd player on its own.........
