Net play on ps2

What do you need to setup net play and is it worth it.

I think you need the LAN extra bit (have seen them on Ebay) and an ethernet cable. And obviously two PS2's and two tellys.

Not sure if it's worth it, but it'd be brilliant on GT4!

does Berts S3 not mean play online?

I remember playing on the PS1 directly connected - 2 stations, 2 tv's, 2 rooms, and deathmatch doom - hours of fun!

Yeh i do mean play online have done same myself with ps1 also on doom which was ****** great fun

ive got the slim line ps2 with network already installed.
tried putting it through my router but didnt suceed.
connection test worked but the game didnt tried fifa 06

if you have the old ps2 you need a LAN pack for the back, this then gives you an ethernet port, then it easy. just plug you ethernet cable in or wireless bridge if you have a wifi set up and you are away. no subscription no nothing - just a netplay game. it's great fun
