But do any of the GPS devices allow you to pre-plan your route on a PC?

You can pre-plan on TomTom 5 on the PDA.

not really, as most of the gps applications like tomtom don't work on the pc, only on pocket pc's, but as kev said you can pre-plan on tomtom anyway. also think its possible to link autoroute to certain gps apps like tomtom, not too sure on this though, go to something like easydevices.com, or pocket pc guide or something, u'll get more info there.
