    iphone 3g and OS4...Grrrrrrrr!

Anyone know how to get rid of OS4 on a 3G..??

Updated it when OS4 came out and since then the phone is bleeding slow as hell!!

Tried to do a "factory restore" but that didnt work.

Anyone else having the same problem and found a solution?

Could try downloading a previous version of the firmware and then restore it to that version.

You should have more than 1 restore point. You will need to look in the root of the folder, once you find this. IF you do Shift Restore you can select an older restore point and that should take it back to the older OS.

I have read varying reports about this. My mrs has a 3G running ios4 and all works fine. She says it's actually faster than when it was on 3.1.3. When i upgraded hers I didn't do a restore or anything, just a complete fresh install and that might have been what helped.

the same thing happened to mine

    just follow the instructions here

    http://lifehacker.com/5572003/how-to...your-iphone-3g[s]-from-ios-4-to-ios-313

I lost all my txt messages because I didnt have a back up from before 4.0 but was a small price to pay rather then waiting for the ipod that took over 30 seconds to open

now its back to its fast self again
