Thread: Mintex Pads

Anyone used them,Good or bad?

have just purchased a set of front and back mintex extreme pads

when it stops blowing a gale and raining i will try and fit them .

have heard good reports on them

IMHO they're sh**e! buy lockheed delphi ones instead!

mintex ones sqeel all the time, fade quickly and make loads a dust on me rims!

lockheed ones dont do any of that! less than £30 at andrew pages!!!

I had a set of 1144's on my R5T, they worked well with my Brembo discs, but ate through the discs in next to no time. I changed to Pagid fast road pads and use them on my A3 too. They are excellent

I brought some fom E-Bay £72 discs & pads(Mintex)

Had them fitted today and happy so far

that's probably the same ones i got?, squeeky squeeky!

i had a full set of mintex exteme pads on my gttdi golf , and found them a great improvement over the standard items, If you contact mintex they supply some adhesive shims to stick to the back of the pads, this stops the squeaking, but you have to cut them to fit over the centre locating spring clip , on the backing plate,
