lowering a quattro.....

hey all, i have a 51 plate a4 1.8t quattro and was wondering about lowering it. now i have heard that you should not lower a quattro as it messes with the 4 wheel drive, is this true?
also what sort of drop could you do and still keep the comfort levels? on the star 17s at minute but looking to get some 18s.

Hello mate, lowering it won't be a problem as long as you don't go stupidly low! Something like the springs below would be fine for what your wanting...

What suspension set up have you got at the moment? Standard, SE or Sport?

If you've got the standard or SE set up then there is no problems going to the Standard Sport or S-Line set up - which runs perfectly OK on either 17 or 18"

Kits from the likes of H&R (as per DPM) or Eibach are matched for the car

my car is a quattro SE. are the springs that are mentioned above ok, with it being an SE?
