S3 suspension upgrade.adjustment for 18" 9 spokes

the local dealer have told my mate that when fitting the 18" RS$ style 9 spoke wheels to an S3 they have to change the suspension, and so won't let him buy them aftermarket!

anyone know what the suspension differences are?

I suggest the dealers talking *****...to be frank.

I'm no expert on the S3, but there are some folks running 19's on their S3's with no problems, and even if your friend has the Quattro Gmbh suspension as standard there are no contact/rubbing issues with 18's on.
