Any opinions on this? The latest sport version of the TT has slightly different tyre sizes, the ones on the rear being slightly wider. As I am in the market for new tyres all round, is this a worthwhile set up on an A3? It is supposed to improve the TT, would it do the same on my car as it shares the same floor pan.....Rochford have a good deal on this tyre combo at the moment.

Thanks...

It's not just the tyres they changed. I'd stick to what they recommend.

I just can't see whay anyone would fit wider tyres to the rear of a prediminantly FWD car, or a FWD car...it makes no sense.

All it'll do is add understeer and reluctance to turn in...

I just don't get it. Looks over dynamics perhaps?

TBH, the last thing the TT or anything similar needs is wider tyres...the chassis is numb as it is...and wider tyres aint going to help there.

Makes no sense...

I don't know why. I guess widening the stance helps but as Ess_Three says you would expect an increase in understeer.

No idea.
