The oil temp has stopped working on my b5 A4 1.8T

Have done a bit of research and found the oil temp wire (an open ended spade connector) is loose and plugs to the oil cooler/housing, but can't see where? Have found the oil pressure plug (rubber shrouded plug), but can't see where that temp spade connects to. Any ideas?

the shrouded one is at the back and the temp sender is mounted more on the side of the same housing. You may have to remove the 3 screws holding the header tank in place and move it to one side so as to gain a decent view

Ok, just removed the header to gain some more light, but still can't see, or feel, where it plugs to. Is it on the right or left of the pressure plug as you look down into the bay from the front of the car? Either I'm being daft or something's not as it should be
