Air Con Compressor

Does anybody know the part no. for an Air con compressor.

My A4 1.8 SE, 2000, facelift. The Air Con Compressor siezed (I think that is the correct terminology) Its the bit thats atached to the o/s lower front of the engine and runs on a belt anyway its ******** and need a new one so need part number to find one.

Or if anybody knows where I could get a re-con, cheaper than dealer unit?

Need to know engine code and whether its made by denso or zexel. lots of different options.

Right I believe the part number is 8D0 260 805F and I can get one that doesn't have the F appended to it. Does anybody know the significance?

The part number probably just superseeds. i'll check tomorrow (20th).
