I have just bought a a3 quattro 2000 and thought i had nice one. 68k full service history 2 owners since new. But now she has developed a fault she is drinking fuel and all seems to be down on power and not pulling at points any surgestions. I have checked coils firing seems fine and good signal and responses from air flow meter and oxy sensor 1 and no fault codes. I was thinking cam sensor as timing seems to be all out on diagoe machine. My mate works for aa ran some tests on it but neither of us came up with deffinitive answer?? Does this model have quiet a stiff think that best way to describe it gear change in 5 speed box option or is it f~~~~d there to??Help please

MAF or coolant sensor are quite common. When you say the response from the MAF seemed ok, did you log it in VAG-com?

And the 6 speed box is clunky at best, assuming thats what you meant
