right i have a 2000 a3 quattro and i have seen some porsche wheels i want which are 9j rear and 8j front.
the tyres are 215 and 225/40s

need to know if this will cause any damage to my car seen as it 4wd and diff widths front and back??

some people say it may

cheers

it will become difficult to match rolling radius but as you have a haldex system it shouldn't make too much of a difference.

it has been linked to transmission wind up in torsen equipped cars where the diff can't deal with the rears travelling less distance than the fronts.
negligible in most situation otherwise a wheelspin or lock up would do the same
