Turbo conversion, can you help?

Hi, I have a 1989 coupe quattro 2.2 10v I am planing to convert it to a turbo using old the ur turbo parts, am I going down the right route? So far I have the turbo, inlet manifold, metering head and air box, turbo return valve, wiring loom and ecu from an Audi 100 turbo.
Can I use my pistons or do I need low compression ones?
Which intercooler would be best?
Any other advise would be great.
