A4 2.5TDi Starter motor

Gentlemen, I believe my starter motor has died :Flush: following a few hundred yards negotiating the floods down in Devon the other week. Could I ask you chaps to advise what I am likely to be in for ££££? When trying to start the car tonight, the OK check was good, power and lights OK but just a click from the engine bay when I turned the key. I have had a suspicion this was going to happen, as a couple of times this week, I have turned the key and there has been a delay before the starter kicked in.

Where should I go for it to be done in Northants? (Posted on the diesel forum too)
