I am a novice but it was very straight forward to do and so sorted it out over the Xmas period. I followed Kevin-ST's guide which was very good and helpful:

If you need the 'Snap-Lock' connectors either Maplin or Halfords do them at £1.89.
I postioned my Snooper at the top of the windscreen and made a bracket that came off the sun visor screw which worked very well. I trailed the power cable up inside the A-pillar trim so that it poked out at the top. This I found was a very neat way of doing it plus the A-Pillar came off easily with a well positoned flathead screwdriver.

Took about an hour to do it all.
The only time consuming part was painting the bracket as it took two days to dry!!
