Hi guys,

I am having a few problems with my 4.2 V8 A6.

I had a top radiator hose on the expansion tank which is leaking a small amount but this is planned to be replaced soon. Its the odd drip now and again. As part of checking this out i had the local dealer plug in the diagnostic tool and a temperature sensor is reading high when it is cool. Seem to notice that the engine is running cooler. Til i can get the sensor and hose they reset my diagnostic codes and since then my car is not driving as it should.

When accelerating hard the gears are held longer than they were before gear changes are occuring at about 5500 RPM and it does not seem to want to go higher than 3rd gear. Am having to slip in to tiptronic to work around this. When driving flat out my ABS and Traction Control lights illuminate and stay on. Everything was fine before they cleared the error codes off. Still had the running cold problem though.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what they have done on the ecu.

Cheers.
