Hey guys,

I want to remove the tyre (or whats left of it!) from my alloy, after I had a blow out a few weeks ago.

Any ideas on the best way to do this?
It seems theres some kind of glue on the edge's meaning its really difficult to get off!

Thanks in advance!

I'd take it to you local national tyres or quik fit and ask them nicely.

You ca do it with a tyre lever but the chances are you will damage the alloy.
the substance you think is glue is more than likely to be soap, its used to lubricate the tyre when its mounted.
The tyre has a steel band around its circumference which fits over a flange on the wheel, you need to push it off of this in towards the centre of the wheel, then insert a tyre lever between the rim and the inside edge of the wheel and lever it off.
Its very difficult to do, a tyre shop will do it for you for free or maybe a couple of quid tops.
