Ive just bought an 1997 A4 TDI 110 but the clutch biting point seems really high..... am i looking at a new clutch or can it be adjusted somehow? (not too worried as the car was cheap:cool: )

any advice would be appreciated.

cheers

Hi Rob
I think you will find that the clutch is hydraulic , so there is no adjustments there
Sorry mate , but you could possibly get a cheap clutch from GSF or Euro car parts

I have the exact same problem with the clutch on my 2.4 V6 A4...

Mine is in at the moment for a replacement clutch and I got a call yesterday from my specialist telling me that the clutch friction material "is almost down to the rivets". I think you'd be wise to fork out for a new clutch so that it doesn't wear totally down and ruin your flyweel (and leave you stranded).
