Evening,

I'm generally new to the world of Audis so bear with me.

Is it normal to have to unwind the steering at slow speeds when quite a lot of lock is wound in?

I'm finding myself pulling out of junctions and expecting the car to straighten out as per normal but the steering lock pretty much stays constant throughout (i.e. if I were to let go of the steering wheel the car would keep going around in circles). Up to a certain point it self centres fine but past this point it doesn't.

The car is a 2010 A6 quattro 3.0 TFSI.

Input appreciated.

Had this issue today with an a3 with errors. It needed plugging in and steering and abs settings adapting with vcds. Maybe somebody local to you would have a look or scan it for errors at least?

Thanks for the response.

I'll buy a VCDS cable and give it a go.

Contacted NHN and paid for. Will be a useful tool to have alongside my BMW diagnostic equipment.

Just got an a3 tfsi quattro and have the exact same issue!
Did you sort it?
