Following the non model specific tech issue prompt...
I am having major problems with the hydraulic brakes on my MTB bike.... Hope specify Dot 5.1 fluid for these.
Does Dot 5.1 react badly with the ruber seals?
Are there different types, mineral or synthetic that still meet the same 5.1 standard...?
I understand that mineral is more corrosive than synthetic. Is one better than the other? I use synthetic in my ZZR1200 brakes and have no problems..I'm confused.
Any help would be appreciated.
