1.8t Engine code AJQ from a 1999 4WD TT, easy swap to fit 1.8t AUQ from 2005 2 WD ???

Hi,

My brother in law ran low on oil, so engine swap being planned.

As tilte, both throttle are drive by wire, should be straignt forward ?

Nope ! 1.8T early have separate water pump and AC compressor bolts on different side, the 2005 has a cambelt running the water pump and is totally different: separate coils,wide band lambda, totally different engines ! Swap like for like...
