Some kind French man clipped my nearside wing mirror and the mirror glass smashed. It looks like a 'clean' break to me ie. no other damage, not even to the click-on-frame around the edge BUT the plastic 'window' covering the indicator at the edge of the wing mirror is partly broken off too. I can live with the partly broken plastic window (if it's not allowing too much damp to get in and damage electrics/ anything else?)
Would you advise going through Audi to get a replacement mirror or use one of the internet sites? Can I fit it myself? I can see two exposed clips on the housing that look like they take the mirror. The central disc that moves the mirror is working and all the wiring appears to be intact.
Is it more complicated than that? I AM a girl after all???!
