Boost Gauges in Diesels

As a subject, has anyone put a boost gauge in their diesel motor? and will a mechanical 2bar boost gauge that I have spare work in my oil burner??

Yes it will work fine. Just remember it will sit at 0bar/Psi in till the engine is on boost then you will get your + reading. All the need to do is take a feed from the inlet manifold.

very old thread i know.. but can i take the boost gauge vacuum from the egr valve? if not, where exactly do i take it from? thanks

Just need a t- piece from a feed from the inlet manifold. I will be looking at doing this in the next few weeks. so could take a few photos.

mines a 2.0 tdi, and i have no feed, will i have to drill my own into either the pipe or inlet mani?
