Hi all new to this forum but looking for advice from people in the know
3.2 audi 2005
stalls and runs a bit rough, garage have coded it and it has 16395 over advanced intake camshaft a
when you look at the duty cycle on vagcom the exhaust is about 12 to 13 but intake is about 38
having searched i think i may have a chain stretch problem
is it a majour strip to find out
thanks in advance lee

It could be the chain but it can be difficult to tell, the only way to be certain is to take out the chain and compare it with a new one, which is a major £2k plus job. Have the garage checked measuring blocks 208 and 208 in the engine module, a reading of 9 or over in either one is an indication of stretching. Can you hear any rattling from the gearbox side?
Stuck VVT's or a faulty tensioner can cause similar problems, even a faulty coilpack can sound terminal.
My money is on the chain though.
