93 100 CS- Won't start?

Thanks for checking out my post! I just picked up a 1993 100 CS Avant yesterday, the car has always run great until the battery died. We charged the battery, now the radio says "SAFE" and car has no spark and will not start. I am guessing some type of Anti-theft is responsible, but I figured I would ask. Also, I can't find the owners manual which I'm sure has the answer in it.

what kind of key do you have? does it have a seperate alarm box/remote or is the remote built into the key? (if your car has a remote)
