Thread: A6 1.8t AEB oil problem

I’ve some problem with oil warning. When engine is hot some like 90C and I’ve accelerate more than 3000RPM FIS show me Oil warning than when push left button to check what is going on the message is: “switch off engine, check oil level”
It’s happen often and always when engine is hot.

Till now I have check :
Oil pressure in 2 way on hot and on cool engine and the result was:
IDE 1.6 BAR
2500 RPM between 3.2 – 3.4 BAR
5000 RPM 4.6-5.3bar

replace head gasket and complete rebuild head .
compression result :
11.6 11.8 12.0 11.8
Replace pressure sensor cause I have observed that during measure pressure when I plug off sensor, on dashboard I have the same warning “switch off engine, check oil level”
So you may be guess how was my surprise, I thought that will be some like “ stop chech oil pressure” I thing the all sensor tem. Press and level, are connected with one warning.

And still have the same problem “switch off engine, check oil level”

Today I’ll change temperature sensor, and I should mention that I’ve didn’t find oil level sensor,
I search that sensor on sump but with misery effects.

What’s now ?

is it the oil level or the oil preasure ?
if oil level have you checked the micro switch on the bonnet lock
