    computer help

    can anyone piont me in the direction of suitable drivers for my hp1000 photosmart printer to run on win 8
    I remember having bother getting them for vista and had to use drivers for a different hp printer but cant remember which ones or where from .Don't want to have to get a new printer as for all the printing i do it's actually still quite a good printer

    Doesnt look like they bothered with drivers. Best bet would be to call HP.

    Have you tried telling Windows to find/use its own drivers? I know that the Windows 7 driver libraries already contain drivers for a lot of the older HP printers.

    oops yeah windows 7 I'll try the windows drivers again thanks for the help

    dont know if you got it sorted, but they haven't got the drivers listed for windows 7 or vista (unless im looking at the wrong model), you can prob get way with using the windows XP drivers but you will have to manually install them from the device manager - worth a try to be honest
